This label honors the famous American illustrator of women, Howard Chandler Christy 1873-1952 and his "Christy Girl" that became famous in 1906 and depicted a picturesque and romantic type of society woman. Many comparisons to the "Gibson Girl" created by Charles Dana Gibson, were made as this was also popular during the early 1900s.
