This set of cigar labels is a very unique straw poll type of brand stated in the 1930's with the advent of the first All-Star game which was held as part of the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago. This was the brainchild of Arch Ward, then sports editor for the Chicago Tribune. The cigar smoker was asked to purchase his favorite league's cigar to show his support for the team of his choice! This set beautifully doubled matted in rich linen and black and includes a plaque with background information on the labels. Regularly priced at 499 it is on sale for a limited time only at 420.
